Did Mike Pence Get Hit In The Head With A Water Balloon In Video?

A young girl hits a man with a water balloon in a viral video. Some people say it was former VP Mike Pence.

Mike Pence Water Balloon Video

Some people on the internet are convinced that a young girl hit Mike Pence with a water balloon during a parade. A few others said that it was an egg.

Critics of the former vice president even rushed to call the child a hero. They say she is part of the resistance to the era of Donald Trump.

However, there is more to the story. The caption for the video that amassed millions of views on social media got half of the story wrong.

Mike Pence was not hit by a water balloon

The person at the receiving end of the water balloon was not the Republican candidate for president. Bruce Blakeman, a Nassau County (New York) Executive, is the one who got hit at the Long Island parade.

Interestingly, the context behind the video was not even negative. The clip was filmed on the Fourth of July during the 2023 Stewart Manor Parade.

The water balloon hit is a 20-year-old tradition in the area. Participants play willingly, and there is no malice. Blakeman shared the video on his Facebook page on July 12.

He used the following caption: “The water balloons and soaker guns are a long tradition at the Stewart Manor parade. Please do not be offended. All those who march including me, do so at their peril and are fair game. I had fun even if I got a little wet!”

Tucker Carlson challenges Pence

Mr. Pence had nothing to do with the episode. However, he went viral for something else. The former governor of Indiana had a tense exchange with Tucker Carlson over America’s involvement in Ukraine.

Pence is advocating for a more forceful American presence in the conflict with Russia. However, Carlson, who is closer to Trump politically, says America should focus on dealing with problems at home.

Critics say Pence should run for president of Ukraine instead. In a changing GOP, Pence is having a hard time finding his footing.
