The judge was not impressed with the strategy. She described Wolff’s legal move as an improper attempt to stop Melania from suing him first and criticized the tactical maneuvering around the dispute.
For Melania, the dismissal gives her legal team room to keep pressing the message that the Epstein-related claims are defamatory and damaging. Her camp has framed the fight as a defense against falsehoods spread for attention, profit, and political impact.
For Wolff, defeat does not settle the larger debate over free speech, public figures and aggressive legal threats.
